Teeth Whitening

Have you always wanted white, even-coloured teeth? Reinvigorate and brighten your smile with a whitening treatment at Medland Dental Centre or with a Medland whitening kit at home.

We have developed two, effective whitening options for you to choose from. The Medland BriteSmile™ system will give you instant, long-lasting results in one dental treatment. Your Medland hygienist will use a light-reactive gel on your teeth to achieve your desired shade of white. This process takes just two hours and the results can last for years. We will also provide you with a whitening care kit to keep your bright smile looking its best.

Or you can take home our prescription-strength teeth whitening kit which includes dental trays that fit over your teeth so you can whiten while you relax at home. This process takes about an hour each day for approximately one week and we are confident you will be happy with the results.

It is important to have a preventive care appointment with your Medland dentist to ensure your teeth will respond to the whitening process. This appointment will include a free whitening assessment. We look forward to brightening your smile and making you look and feel great.

Will whitening work for me?

Only your dentist can determine if whitening will work for you. Any active decay will need to be filled before your teeth are whitened. People with gum disease are often ineligible for whitening.

Is teeth whitening safe?

Our Medland whitening systems are perfectly safe for use by adults. The structure of your teeth and gums remain the same, only the tooth colour is made lighter.

Will my crowns or fillings become lighter?

Unfortunately crowns and white fillings will not lighten during the whitening process. If desired, these can be replaced with a lighter shade to match your new, whiter smile.
